We design most of the homes we build in house, and can offer any level of professional guidance and inspiration. We will ask questions and make suggestions, working hand in hand with you to customize the design to your unique style. It’s a true collaboration of your vision for a home, combined with our experience to guide you.
The next step in the Woodbury process involves developing the preliminary plans for your home. At this point we will meet with you at your property, or help you find a property that suits the home you want to build. There are several factors to consider (lot size, zoning requirements, subdivision covenants, etc) and we will be with you every step of the way to navigate these challenges. This is also the time where we finalize floor plans, draw elevations, and run our budget template which allows us to offer a preliminary estimate of the project costs.
Once the plans have been finalized and rough budget started, we will move to what we at Woodbury consider one of the most important steps in home construction. At this point we go over all the big (and small) details of your home, ensuring we don’t miss anything and that they are accounted for in your budget. This part of planning also allows us to talk about the specific allowances in your budget, and gives you an in depth look at the finer details of your home. By the end of this phase you will have your full plan, full construction proposal, and your contract.
After the plans and budget are approved, Woodbury will move forward with starting to build your home. We will get the needed permits, make sure the land is ready for building, and then break ground on the construction of your dream home. Throughout this process you will still work closely with us as we make selections for your home that stay in line with previously chosen allowances. We are happy to meet with you as often as needed throughout this part of the process. Either to make last minute changes, or just to ensure you understand the stages of house building and the timeline of your home.
The final stage is everyone’s favorite! At this point your new home is done, and we hand over the keys! But just because your home is finished, doesn’t mean our relationship with you is over. We take building your home as seriously as you do, so don’t hesitate to call us at anytime for any reason. As any of our previous customers can tell you, your home meeting your expectations is our top priority.
